quote from Sheri Dew

A friend gave this quote in her sacrament meeting talk last Sunday. It's great and describes how I feel completely. It is from Sheri Dew's book "Now One Can Take Your Place".

"Recently a friend lamented that she can't remember half of the scriptures she studies, 'But I've decided it's my job to put them in,' she said, 'and the Holy Ghost's job to pull them out when I need them.' There is some truth to that."

I have a hard time lately even remembering what I read the night before. But I like what she said in the quote that it is our job to put them in, and the spirit's job to pull them out when we need them. So, I am one who relies on the spirit to "bring things to my remembrance" (scripture).

Me too! If my scripture marker gets pulled out by the kids, and it often does, I have to think a bit before I remember where I was.
