My quilt guild had a yard sale this Saturday. I helped out on the early shift which started at 7 AM. These two great finds were my reward for my efforts. I love the dishes. It includes 4 place settings except one bowl is missing. I remember seeing these in the stores but couldn't justify the purchase but yard sale price was just right. The other is a Husquvarna Viking Rose 605 embroidery sewing machine. It belonged to guild member's mother and she didn't use it very often. I have wanted an embroidery machine forever! I did want a Bernina but a Viking is very good too. Again, I have not been able to justify the purchase price of the embroidery machine but the yard sale price was 90% off the retail price so I went for it. Not only is it an embroidery machine but it also works as a regular sewing machine. After I bought it I told a fellow guild member that I now have 4 sewing machines. She told me she had 10 so I don't feel too guilty ;~) Now I just need to get YW camp under control so I can feel good about playing with my new toy!

What fun. I have never bought at a yard sale before. I need too. I goto the DI or Kid to Kid for most things. Or have them given to me.
I love the plates! Nice score on the Viking. I look forward to seeing what it produces. It's high time you got one of those, especially since you've wanted it for so long.
